i wish to build the following PC and wondered that before i do, is there any minor imporovments i could make to my rig. thanks!

Change the CPU cooler to at least a Cryorig H5 universal. The 212 is not suitable for an 8700k. Drop the PSU down to a Seasonic Focus gold or Evga g2/g3 750w. For SSD, you want 240gb minimum. 128gb is not very useful. What is your hardware budget?

Nice case.

You need a better cooler.
Noctua NH-D15s will cool better, be easier to mount and be quieter.

120gb is too small for windows. 240gb at least.
with 500gb, you may never need a hard drive at all.

It is easy to add a hard drive later if you need the room.
WD or hitachi are supposedly more reliable.

GTX1070 needs only a 500w psu. A 650w psu will run even a GTX1080ti.
Seasonic focus gold 650w would be a good choice. 750w at most.

The motherboard will come with a lan port. Is it wireless that you need?

Yes I agree 100% here. Ditch the 212 Evo and get a much better cooler, it's inadequate for the 8000 series CPUs.
