[SOLVED] Any mobile hot spots that have Ethernet connection?

I have a long wait until I can get internet in my new flat and am in desperate need of a physical/Ethernet connection to my pc for work. Anyone know of any good options or if there are hot spots I can buy that will allow this? I have seen people recommending dongles with a normal router.

Many Asus routers support a USB modem for 4G access. Here is a list of supported modems -- https://www.asus.com/event/networks_3G4G_support/
If you can use any of those modems, then you can use an Asus router to provide standard WIFI and ethernet.

There are also a bunch of hotspots that support ethernet connectivity.

All 3 mfrs have gigabit ethernet options.
Just depends on the prices and features you want, definitely netgear has the most options to cover the spectrum of price vs features.

Of course you can alwys use a router that a cellular USB input, but be sure that it knows how to support & manage the type of mobile USB stick from you provider, not all of them place nice wih each other, especially for signal drops, etc. Many of the non-dedicated routers treat USB cellular connectivity as primarily fail-over for hardlines, so their dedicated mobile support can be iffy.

Again near-term "5G" NR bands 41 & 78 (TD2500/3500) +3G/4G etc, but only supports 802.11d WiFi, not ax (which still includes AC but only adds fast short range d not x. Nice display for activity monitoring though.


Jebus !! it was the 802.11a + d together that freaked out the GD filters, as if spammers were going to include that word. 🤬
