2015 Shelby GT350R
1999 Mustang SVT Cobra R
2019 Ford Mustang Bullitt edition
these three editions are the best models in mustangs and you modified any one of them. These are beast

I had a '84. 5.0, 4-bbl, T-tops - such a fun car. Kind of a POS by today's standards, but I had a blast with it. Spent a fortune in tires, brakes, and clutches, but worth it.

Been looking at a new one, but it's a big check to write...

I'm by no means a mustang guy. But oddly everyone that sees me driving my escort thinks is a fox body. Its a EXP model and looks nothing like a mustang...:ROFLMAO:

I could kind of see people who aren't all that familiar with it possibly seeing it that way. I don't know what year your EXP is, but the following is a mid-90s Escort GT. At first glance, it might be mistaken for a Fox-body era Mustang.

Its a red 88. Same red used on the turbo coupe and SVO. most seem to think its a SVO since its a little different looking then most mustanges.

My EXP looks just like this one but with louvers on the back window and no sun roof.

I would have added that photo to my last post but I kept getting an server error...

Yeah, that definitely has the "baby brother of the SVO" sort of look about it. You can definitely see the "family resemblance" there.
Indeed. I had some fun messing with folks about it too, I tell them its one of the FWD mustang prototypes.:ROFLMAO:
Right now I'm doing a full restor on it. It had some minor rust in some bad spots and started out life with the 90hp central injection motor. I'll be putting in a build ford CVH H.O. motor. Should have about 150hp at the crank witch is not bad for a sub 2k pound car.

Not bad at all - sounds like a fun project, and with that light weight, should be a blast to drive!

It was a blat even with the 90hp motor.
But it will not be very fun with the added power if I can get the suspension right...
Its a good platform suspension wizes. Fully independent front and back with sway bars on both ends. Even coil overs up front and inverted struts. But the problem is the parts are super hard to find. I been having to go custom as even something as simple as a strut is a hard find. Escort parts will fit up front, but they are a massive downgrade. Rears are a little different and wile the escort parts do fit the springs don't support the added wight of rear.
Before I started to restore the car the last owner put in the suspension prats out of a escort LX with the stock rear springs. Needless to say I did not like being shoved into the door or arm rest when going around corners.
As of now I'm putting in the suspension off a stranded escort GT with adjustable coil overs. Its the next best thing to the stock koni suspension that came with the cars.

My father is a very big fan of old Mustang models and I wanted to please him by giving him for the anniversary, but there were some problems with logistics
