I have been looking around at used X570 motherboards and there are some really nice motherboards about at some really nice prices compared to what they cost had you bought it brand new, there is (or was) this MSI Meg Unify X570 that I wanted to buy but was put off after remembering that MSI got hacked really bad, reading on a few websites it's not good and becareful if you own an MSI motherboard something along those lines.

Has there been a update to veryfi the hacked issues have been mitgated by MSI yet ?

I use two Z590 Unify boards and like both of them. One is the ITX version and I paid a pretty hefty price for it. I waited a few years and found the ATX version for super cheap NIB/NOS.

I have not had any issue with drivers or BIOS (aside from Nahamic which had nothing to do with the hack). I would specify to personally navigate to the page and not use any "sponsored links" and such. To be fair, I rather expected them to come out and say something about this but unless I missed it I have not heard anything.

It was never a problem as long as you were getting the BIOS files from MSI themselves rather than a third-party site, which is what one should always be doing anyway.

Ahh ok thats good to hear, I really wanted that Meg Unify X570, it was with the orignal box which was in really good condtion, which in turn can be a small sign that if they kept the box in that good condtion then they most likely look after there hardware with care, but not a guarantee the product is not faulty I know, although in fairness the local sellers have all been top notch and normally an enthusiast if the item for sale is/was Mid to high end hardware, can end up having an enthusiastic chat about hardware to lol.
