Any one here using a i7700k on a evga z170 classified k?

Hello, I am hoping that the motherboard bio update will support the i7700k. So does any one here have this setup and can confirm it works? Also , I would love to know how well it over clocks.

In the evga site it doesn't recommend it, but I was hoping it was outdated.
Tho evga has been quoted saying they are working on it, a long time ago.

The real question is, is what is the bios version of the one that you buy, it might not be current, so you may need a skylake chip to update the bios. Just because someone brought one with the right bios, does mean you will, they might be in an area that turns stock over more rapidly.

I already have a skylake pc, I was thinking of upgrading it to a kabylake. Im trying to run all games on 1080P ultra settings 144fps, but its very very demanding, even a gtx1080 ti might not work.

I have to say that their documentation is poor, that only supports 2 CPU's apparently, none of the sky-pentiums, no unlocked etc.

Depending on what you have, it may or may not be worth an upgrade.

Yea I saw there documentation and thought it was shabby and even tho it doesn't recommend I used the 7700k with my mobo...MAYBE its not correct? -shrugs-
