I have the basic items for a PC build: CPU, motherboard, RAM, hard drive, case, power supply, optical drive, an OS, monitor, and a wireless network adapter. Are there anymore essential items I need to make a PC?
Well obviously a CPU cooler, but those come bundled with many of the consumer grade CPUs. Also, you need a graphics card, unless you're using the integrated graphics (assuming the parts you chose has that). An SSD is nice, but not essential.
i use an old g series mouse and will never look back. they click with affirmation and mine has a button to switch the scroll wheel from clicky (when you scroll the wheel it clicks) to infinite scrolling (no clicks and one wheel flick can go through 50 pages of a document, really usfule when programming and reading pdf's)

My bad. I forget to mention I already have a graphics card. Thanks!
