[SOLVED] Any other options for a desktop with PCIe x 16 and i7

Hi

I am lookig to buy a desktop to which I can add a GPU (1070/1080) . I https://www.amazon.com/Dell-Optiplex-Quad-Core-Professional-Refurbished/dp/B0741D3VS6 but it looks like I am not sure if this is something which is reasonable ? I would probably need a new PSU . Does anyone have any other suggestion for desktop with i7 and 8-16GB ram ?

Where are you based, you used a US link so i'll assume US.
If you're willing to spend $280 on an old system that you plan on replacing the psu anyways, might as well just build a new system, the newly released ryzen 3 3100/3300x have very good value and performance.

Otherwise, you can find a 7010 mt with a i7 3770 for ~$160-190 on ebay, granted no ssd or os, but windows is pretty much free and a 120gb ssd is too small nowadays anyways.

Power supply prices in the US are insane atm, due to tariffs, shortages, etc. If you're powering a 1070/1080 you'll likely spend ~$100 for a decent unit, prolly a bit more.

I just noticed that refurb/used system prices have shot up quite a bit too. Systems that were only $70 before are now almost $100. Better to just build new at this point in that budget.
