Any performance gaining for installing 2x mSATA drives in RAID 0; set-up backup.

My laptop is Clevo W230ST. Currently, I have a 512 GB Samsung 850 Pro in the SATA slot. My laptop has 2 additional mSATA slots. I have very noob questions, as I have little understanding in this area. I'm open to learn.

1) Would I gain any performance when installing 2x mSATA SSD drives and setting them as RAID 0? If so, by how much? I heard mSATA is generally slower than a normal SATA slot. Will it negate any benefit a RAID system bringing to?

2) Can I set up RAID 0 with my current SSD in SATA and a new SSD in mSATA?

A lot of storage is not my need.

3) I have 2 Transcend external hard drives (old one 500 GB, new one 1 TB). Is there anyway to set up an automatic (or pushing a button) back-up: 500-GB drive will back-up exactly whatever in a folder in the 1-TB drive? If I change a structure of folders inside the back-up folder on the 1-TB drive, it will be exactly the same as in the 500-GB drive (It's not just a simply copy as it will make a mess). Will the provided Transcend Ellite software do this job?

Thank you very much.

1) possibly, but not real-world noticeable. and stay away from RAID0 anyway as it's less reliable.

2) not really, but again stay away

3) *I use SyncbackSE free to scan and mirror my folder once per day. http://www.2brightsparks.com/welcome/backup/freeware-2013-01-02-sp.html?gclid=CIGY5qbf-MwCFQkwaQody-UNsw

Other:
When you start your computer, the Windows data in the SSD is loaded into the system memory (i.e. DDR3 sticks) and runs from there. You will sometimes load new data from the SSD, but even still it's so fast there's a rapidly diminishing return by going to a 2xRAID0 setup etc that's just not worth the hassle.

Most of the time you are not accessing from your main drive.

Thanks both of you. I'm very happy with my Samsung SSD. I just wonder if I can upgrade my laptop's performance any further. I think it's at peak now. I plan to keep it for another 3-4 years before buying a new one.
Thanks again.
