i am using wifi to connect my pc to the internet using a wifi adapter. my internet usually stays around 30 ms to games like fortnite but after a bit of playing or sometimes right away, i will start to get ping spikes to around 300ms for a span of 5-10 seconds. it is weird because some days it never happens and some days it is constantly happening. this is a ping that i got to google.ca from my pc's id. it shows that i get consistent good ping than it randomly bursts into 300ms. if this has already been answered im sorry but im kind of bad with internet stuff and im pretty desperate. any answers or replies will be greatly appreciated. first step unless you really need ipv6 for something disable it in the nic settings. Even though the ISP keep screaming IPv6 is the future they do not always give it the most optimum pathing through their networks.

You need to ping your router IP to see if this is a wifi problem or a internet issue.

Wifi is very unpredictable it could be as simple as your neighbor is doing something with his wifi when you have issues.
