well the subject really says it all, thinking of buying a 600m and wanted to
know of any success or failures with this model.

I recently picked up the Latitude D610, which seems to be the business
line equivalent of the 600m and am very satisfied with it. The
size/weight is ideal for me, and it packs quite a punch. I did some
encryption benchmarks in Linux for anyone interested:

quite solid, and the only issue I have with it is a little feedback in
the headphones when sound isn't being played.

Which screen did you get? XGA or SVGA+? Any opinion on the screen
brightness and clarity?

Thanks

You can use it with a docking station, not too many inspirons can do this
anymore.

I got one couple of months ago and I like it a lot. It really depends
on what you will use it for. I got the non celeron chip so it's
capable of most stuff tho I only use it for common chores so far. I
would not hesitate to recommend it and if I needed another, I would be
willing to buy it again. Mine was refurb too from Dell.
