Hey all I am in the process of a new build and am looking to get a solid PSU and looking to future proof a bit hence the ATX 3.0 for a future 40 series GPU. Thanks all and cheers!

HotCheeZe82 Good morning. With the exception of the MSI models below, here are some of my favorites. I have no experience with any ATX 3.0 / PCIe 5.0 PSUs, as the standard is very new. The MSI 850 watt model only has six customer ratings on NewEgg, and some are very negative. But since there are only six, therefore I can't even guess the validity of the overall reviews. But it's reasonable price, so I figured that I would present the listing and let you make up your own mind. Personally I'd feel more comfortalbe with the Seasonic if I was going with the new standard, however they appear to be very pricey at the moment. I assume that the prices will lower once Amazon has stock of them, and all models are fully available across both NewEgg and Amazon. So if you're considering purchasing these, it might be worth waiting until inventory normalizes in perhaps February.

The Super Flower are some of the best PSUs in the world, if you don't mind not having the new 16 pin connector. Since they don't have a US tech support team, all warranty support is done through Amazon or NewEgg customer support (whomever you purchase from). EVGA T2 1000 is the same model line of Super Flower, but you get to deal with the excellent EVGA support team in the US, if you ever have a warranty issue. Also, the EVGA variant has all sleeved cables, wheras the Super Flower OEM model comes with non-sleeved flat ribbon cables, and more aggressive fan curve (from what I've read in performance and customer reviews). I personally have the EVGA T2 1000 in my main rig, but purchased it years ago on NewEgg for a one day 50% off sale. My two other family member rigs have the EVGA P2 850, which is no longer available, but the Super Flower Platinum 850W (available) is what those P2 850s are based off of.

The Corsair RM850x is a reasonably priced tried-and-true model; I just this month purchased one for a friend of mine. The Corsair HX1000i series is interesting because you can connect it to your motherboard via an internal USB header and pull real time analytics data, such as wattage consumption, and efficiency.

I have to admit that I'm recently torn between purchasing a new ATX 3.0 / PCIe 5.0 PSU (new standard but little reliability history) or a tried-and-true standard power supply (older standard without 16 pin connector, but established reliability history).

ATX 3.0 / PCIe 5.0 - with new 16 pin (12 pin + 4 sense pins) 600W connector for RTX 40 series (without using four 8 pin to one 16 pin adapter included with 40 series GPU)

Addendum: I re-read your question and realized that I overlooked that you're specifically seeking a 1200W ATX 3.0 / PCIe 5.0 PSU. The first option below meets this criteria. The second option (Super Flower Leadex Platinum 1600W) is a enormous amount of available wattage for only $250, but it's not ATX 3.0 / PCIe 5.0 unfortunately. But I just thought that it deserved an honorable mention. The HX1500i also isn't ATX 3.0 / PCIe 5.0, but I just thought that I'd mention it as well.

* This is a phenomenal deal in my opinion. Puget Systems used this PSU in builds with two 30 series GPUs. I own the EVGA T2 1600 version of this PSU, but please know that it's a surprisingly heavy unit.

This is amazing feedback! Thank you so much for you time and input. The PC community has been very helpful and kind. I really appreciate it, thanks again.

Any update? Have you settled on a purchase?

By the way, here is one more 1200W non-ATX 3.0 / PCIe 5.0 PSU, but it's still an excellent option, and $45 cheaper than the 1600 watt model that I previously mentioned. Also, it'll be noticeably lighter than the 1600W variant.
