Hi there. I am wondering if anyone knows if there are any single rank 16 GB DDR4 not registered memory modules available?

There are plenty of 32 GB dual rank modules (https://www.newegg.com/p/pl?N=101507883 601275376 ), thus it's technically possible to have a single rank 16 GB module, but I don't seem to be able to find any specific model, which is for sure a single rank 16 GB module.

Solution
Yes at the moment it's hard to find them as manufacturers are trying to use up all of the low density ICs first. It's a shame that vendors and manufacturers don't disclose rank configuration as many platforms don't play nice once you go above 2x2 ranks (like in a 4x16GB 4x2 rank config in dual channel).

The higher density ICs exist to make them, but they will be more expensive to buy if you can find them.
Are you looking for full sized RAM or laptop-sized SODIMMs? Both are possible though. In your filter on newegg, uncheck the 32GB per module filter and check the 16GB per module filter. If you open the 16GB per module menu, you can uncheck the higher number of sticks to only look for 16GB. You'll only find single 16GB sticks of RAM then.

Don't know why I didn't just link you to it. Here you go: https://www.newegg.com/p/pl?N=101507883 600082361

Totally agree. It's very annoying that manufacturers do not list actual memory chip producer and module ranking.
