Hi, apparently i bought a CoolerMaster Masterfan MF120 Halo that has 4 pin fan power connector and a 3 pin ARGB connector. Unfortunately my motherboard an Asus Strix Z270F GAMING motherboard doesn't have a 3 pin ARGB connector, any solutions for this? What i've read currently is i need a somewhat controller to connect it to the 4 pin RGB connector, but can i run this fan without lights? Only plugging the 4 pin connectors and doing a daisy-chain with the other 2? i bought 3 fans total. This is kinda bummer to me since i haven't read about these type of pins yet.

Thank you!

Solution
The 3 pin RGB are 5 volt and 4 pin are 12 volt. But yes you can still run the fans without the lights. They make some adapters to run 5 volt off a SATA power connector. Sorry hard to look up on my tablet.

Thank you sir, could you please tell me what specific rgb controller do i need to buy?

My Masterbox 5 Lite came in with a weird setup where you have an handheld controller in the packaging (afaik, it comes packed with all coolermaster boxes with RGB capabilities) that controls the fan RGB (comes with 3 3-pin female slots on it and an ARGB exit) and then directly connects to the 4-pin PSU socket. And I was instructed to just plug in the 4-pin male motherboard slots to 3-pin female fan sockets (for the CPU fan) as they don't have fans. Might you have forgotten it somewhere in the packaging?

I have the same case as you sir, but its not RGB didn't came with fans either and no controller and unfortunately might be lost already i bought my setup 3-4 years ago.

Dropping the controller that came with for reference: https://www.coolermaster.com/catalog/coolers/rgb-accessories/wired-rgb-controller-c10l/

Also, I am not sure about A-RGB but this one seems to be the A-RGB variant of the above:

You'll most likely need a splitter cable as well.
Well, i dont know where to buy the controller here at my country though, but will try to look on to it, thank you for your help my guy!
