What games will he be playing? or what is he using the PC for?

Not much. Basically Minecraft alongside Discord, PowerPoint, Word and Internet. He wanted to have a TB of storage for those things but in my opinion it’s definitely overkill. I know that I could have put 120-240GB of storage but he wants a little more then that so... I do not think that he will play AAA games (maybe Fortnite idk).

I was thinking about putting a 2400G instead of the 560 but maybe he’ll do something more GPU/CPU intensive.

If he will be using Mods he may want more RAM an example is Pixelmon I had 8GB of RAM and it lagged (possibly the CPU/integrated GPU so I may be wrong) but the extra RAM may help esp. if he becomes interested in a more intensive game or another casual game

From a gaming perspective, 2x4GB will be a much better route than 1x8GB.

Right now, I'd actually go with first Gen Ryzen, given the price drops - however, remember Zen2 launches soon, and that'll either provide your friend with better performance, or (very likely) a lower price on the older stuff.

Yeah you are right. I’ll check tomorrow with him if the price change is ok with him. Besides that, do you recommend changing anything else?

Thanks for the reply! I haven’t forgotten about 3rd gen Ryzen. And thanks for both builds.
