I know it's overkill but I want it to last any recommendations the mobo is cause I need wifi so I figured I'd get a good mobo with wifi.

for WIFI go for PCIe based card. onboard wifi is usually for miniITX mobo

I think the board has onboard ac wifi so would I still need the card?

AC wireless is about the best you can get. Also, this build is not over the top, because if you have the money to spend, go all out.
