Any suggestions on a "cheap" but effective AM3+ OC'ing Mobo

Currently running a FX-8120 on a ASUS M5A97 and can't ever seen to get a stable OC. Read a lot of posts that seem to say this mobo is junk at oc'ing and with my results I'm inclined to believe it. Also been having other problems with it (USB randomly stop working, Sound Card too, etc) and I think it's just time to move on. But now I'm wondering on what mobo to pick up, looking to OC a lot, and probably install water cooling at some point (Xmas) but that's a maybe.

Any good suggestions? Prefer to be on the cheaper side, sub 170$ if possible. Currently running 6 HD's and a 7970, so doesn't have to be anything superfancy.

you're doing this before boot up? ( oc in bios )......... have you upped the ram voltage? did you see of you could get a stable oc with just 2 sticks? did you lower the multiplier on the cpu at all? how's it oc with the HD's disconnected?
