I'm building my first PC and I would like some opinions on my choices. My budget is around 750$. I would appreciate any suggestions! Thanks!

CPU:
I7 6700 (non-k) 170$
Note: I got this CPU at 170$ brand new because my uncle works at Intel.

CPU Cooler:
Cryorig H7 35$

GPU:
GTX MSI 960 OC 4GB 200$
Note: Getting it used from a friend.
I could get the R9 380 if you guys think it would work well with my system and wouldn't overheat. I've also been told that AMD's drivers are crap.

Mobo;
Gigabyte H170-Gaming 3 90$

PSU:
EVGA SuperNova 650W G1 80+ Gold Modular 80$

Case:
Corsair Spec-01 50$

Fans:
x2 Corsair Air Series AF120 Red

Storage:
1TB Seagate 50$

RAM:
Kingston HyperX FURY 8GB (2x4GB) 32$

If you receive a dead card you can still return it. eBay will allow returns on false advertising or non working items, even when the seller does not

I do not put returns on computers parts I sell on eBay,I don't want someone to go, "hmm I think I want more power than a 750 ti" so they return it for example.
I can get a gtx 960 brand new for less than $200, don't let your friend scam you

Amd doesn't have driver problems, and hasn't for a long time. Yes the r9 380 can get a bit hotter, but will not overheat at all. You can even overclock it without it getting too hot.

But I would wait for the pascal cards to be released then you will probably be able to buy some cheap used cards

The power supply is low quality, stick to GS or G2 from evga 550w+
Or you can get an Xfx or seasonic Psu as well

I'd also recommend adding an ssd, you can get one for $40-$80

Yeah what DustinV said is pretty on point. GTX960's are less than $200 new. If you're going to buy it from your friend I wouldnt pay any more than $150. If he wants more than that, I'd say just buy a new one so you'll have the new warranty with it. I'm guessing there isn't much left for warranty on the used one.

This GTX-960 is new, has warranty, 4GB of GDDR5 and comes from a respectable brand.

Oh, and it's selling for $190.

Avoid the 1TB Seagate. Choose something from HGST or Western Digital. I've had way too many Seagate HDDs die on me to let people go for their products anymore.
The PSU choice is good. 8GB is the minimum right now for a gaming machine. Also keep in mind that whenever you decide to upgrade RAM, dont' just go and get another 2x4GB kit. Get the total amount of RAM you need in a single kit. That should keep a lot of headaches and troubleshooting away.

I disagree, I think Asus and Msi are close, but MSI beats out Asus for sure

And I'd get the r9 380 over the gtx 960
It can give 5-15 fps more in some games

But like I mentioned, the pascal 1080 is a few days from release, and the 1070 is coming out June 10th. You should be able to get used gtx 970/r9 390 for very cheap

for the two 960s between msi and asus depends on how much you want to overclock if you want to overclock get the msi if not get the asus
and as for ebay you can get a card as LONG AS THE ACCEPT RETURNS!!! if not you may think why dont they want this if something is wrong you then get it and release this card is broken and dead
