[SOLVED] Any tips on making this new PC faster?

Hello, recently I bought my nephews PC, he has a Asus 1080Ti, a i7-8700 processor, 16gbs of ram, and its all being water cooled. The PC seems like it would be fast and powerful but its like it has a virus or something(I dont know much about PCs, but I bought this PC for video editting/photography and some gaming). I just wanted to know if there is a way to make the PC great again, Im hoping I do not have to whip everything off of the computer but If I need to I dont mind. Any programs that would help or any tips would be helpful thank you.

Did you get it with a clean install of windows or is there alot of junk on there?

Also, is windows installed on an SSD?

You could clean up the system using Windows Defender & Malwarebytes.

If that doesn't help much then you may want to just do a clean install of Windows and start fresh.

He said he used his buddies USB to get Windows 10, doesnt seem like thats a clean install i think. Im looking into getting a SSD its installed on the harddrive

An SSD is like a night & day difference in performance over a HDD. Backup any important files, do the clean install & then install the newest GPU drivers and that system should run beautifully.
