To whoever can help me - I don't know a lot about computers. But I do know that my laptop ain't running the smoothest right now. I upgraded my RAM from 2GB to 8GB last year. And that had some improvement. But it's still not enough and the speed of the laptop is still bothering me. I just want it to be running to the best that it can be! Is there something like an SSD upgrade or Processor upgrade I can install on it? I don't know how to find out whether it's compatible with anything like that... please help!

My laptop specifications are as follows:

Product Name: HP 250 G3 Notebook PC
Product Number: K1C53PA#ABG
Serial Number: CND45192QJ
Microprocessor: Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU N2840 @ 2.16GHz

Solution
The basic issue is that it's a very low end microprocessor (CPU). It also appears that the CPU is soldered to the motherboard, so you can't replacement the CPU with something better. However, it looks this laptop did come in different configurations. Consequently, you could buy a new motherboard with a better processor. Here's a link to an example: https://www.amazon.com/HP-763753-501-Laptop-Motherboard-i3-3217U/dp/B0153IKSP0.

Personally, I don't think its worthwhile to put $200 into this laptop. Save up your money and buy a new PC that has the power to run the programs that you use.

CPU is soldered to the motherboard, not possible. CPU is so weak, wouldn't even be worth buying an SSD in my opinion.
