any way to get a bigger psu for a asus rog g20?

Solution

No, along with most other parts in there.

"As an ROG mini-ITX PC, does the G20 use the Impact motherboard? If not, what MB does it use?

In order to produce the most powerful, yet smallest possible, quietest and energy efficient system, the internal structure and motherboard had to be entirely customized for the G20, therefore it uses a non-standard motherboard."

"Is it upgradeable?

In order to maximize its potential it has an extremely integrated design, therefore it’s not possible for users to upgrade the G20."

not true, yes if you want to upgrade the power supply you can, there is one little bit of wiggle room ie you can purchase a 19.5v 330w its not much more but depending on your need could cover it 330w real term = about 360w total, now it can also draw power from the pci slot directly so replace both 230w on the pc and 330w on the graphics

This is not true, I own a ROG g20 and have upgraded almost everything except the power supply, considering its a laptop psu, it can not be upgraded, but i have upgraded it to ssd, doubled ram, and an rx480. Taking apart the case is the hardest part of upgrading one of these

I just ordered the 330w adapter you linked to. Currently I have the 180w & 230w psus for my g20cb. By replacing just the 230w adapter with the 330w, will I be good to upgrade my GPU?

I know it voids the warranty but are there any real concerns damaging the pc with upping the wattage by 100?
What did you mean by "so replace both 230w on pc and 330w on graphics"

LoukissT Its good to know, thankyou. I currently have a i7 6700, 32gb, 1060 in mine running from both 180/230 psu and was told by many (USAFvret is one of them) that the g20 is totally unupgradable which to someone new to the pc world was crap to hear. but atleast now reading this, I probably got afew years yet before thinking trading my little sexy case for a more "manly" one.

I never said "totally unpgradable".
Merely...far more PITA than it should be, or would be with a normal PC.
Especially as regards the power situation.

Also I heard ISSUES with temp But like most I get my hours in late at night on a weekend due to work/family so I get 4-6 hours straight gaming and then it's off. So my temps only reached 76 on gpu and 68 degrees on the cpu (Which I did hear the g20 i7 known to go to the 80-82 with no performance issues. which I won't reach with my play time plus use a custom fan curve on afterburner.
But Yeah you right the power is gonna be the down fall but by then I will have changed to a bigger better pc case.
