I have an old computer that needs to be replaced, so maybe modern motherboards have more USB pports, but I'm in need of more and wondering if there are ways? I have speakers, keyboard, mouse, headset and I don't know what else, but I just bought my first two wireless controllers for couch co-op and I don't have spots to plug their chargers in.

Thanks for any ideas

An x1 PCIe card like this -- https://www.amazon.com/ELUTENG-Expansion-Controller-Adapter-Windows/dp/B0BX5N22Z2/

Old rig, but does it look like something is janky with the io shield? I don't know what the label is on this one, but is there part of the io shield blocking this???

I haven't dealt with an io shield in two forevers. How might a guy get in and get this prong out of that usb slot? It looks like it is removable and I must have somehow messed this up a decade ago and never noticed.

Does the case have slots for video card etc? That's where the pci usb card would go, nothing to do with mobo io area. Long as you have an additional pci slot for one of these. If not then just a simple usb hub would suffice, like a network switch, plug usb hub to one of the usb ports and output to however many.

Not with the way I modded the case to vertically mount the gpu. Slots are all covered. I want to fix that USB slot now though. I can't remember what it takes to remove the io shield anymore though.
