Hi, just wondering as I have 768mb of VRAM and a game I was planning on getting demands 1gb. I have 3400 something Shared System Memory if thats any help, and Im running Windows 7 64-bit. Thanks.

This sounds like a laptop or something. And the most likely answer here is no. The reason is that the graphic processor is stealing system memory for itself to function, and the amount of memory it can steal is most likely a fixed number.

You failed to give any specifics on the hardware you have, so that is the best I can say for now.

Sorry, I have a desktop, though a bad one. I have Integrated graphics, not dedicated :/. Its running a8-6600k proccessor with the radeon 8570d thats inside of it. Any more info? It has 8GB of ram, I'm not sure what specs you need to know wether I can run the game or not. I am also willing to play on minimum settings if It means I can run the game mostly lag-free (I can deal with an occasional lag-spike) Also the game in question is the new game "ARK: Survival Evolved" Thanks.

its an APU so it uses system memory. performance is gained from increasing the speed, but you just want it playable. whats the model of the motherboard? i dont have any actual experience with an APU but my guess is there's a BIOS setting or maybe even in Windows that allows you to allocate RAM to the onboard graphics. not sure but i would also guess that there would be a poor experience even if you do get it running, so do you have any upgrade budget? $100 would get you playing, $200 would make it almost entertaining, $500 enjoyable, etc.
