I did everything i can to try to keep it close to 1300-1400 budget.

I would like a cool case with LED lights, and displays such as that NZXT 921 Guardian. However i'm getting a compatible error. And don't know if that matters.

Please help lower cost. Also, if you know that compatible error will make my items not fit in the case?

You do not need 750W power supply, drop it down to 550W, but that wont save you too much more money. Really the only other way I can see to save is on the monitor. I can tell you want a quality monitor, but you are going to have to take a hit somewhere, either in the graphics card or the monitor, and the graphics card is much more important than getting a 1ms response time and 144Hz refresh rate on your monitor.

Take a look at this one...basically the same monitor with a 2ms response time and no 144Hz refresh but you save over $100.

Here's what I would do:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor ($249.99 @ Newegg)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($29.99 @ NCIX US)
Motherboard: ASRock Z87 Extreme6 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($169.99 @ Newegg)
Memory: Mushkin Blackline 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($63.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: OCZ Vector Series 128GB 2.5" Solid State Disk ($128.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($65.58 @ Outlet PC)
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 770 2GB Video Card ($409.99 @ Amazon)
Case: NZXT Phantom 410 (White) ATX Mid Tower Case ($84.50 @ Amazon)
Power Supply: SeaSonic S12II 620W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply ($75.98 @ Newegg)
Optical Drive: Lite-On iHAS124-04 DVD/CD Writer ($17.98 @ Outlet PC)

And then yeah I'd take the aforementioned monitor suggestion - save that $100 and put it elsewhere.

Why the extreme 4?

It's a more expensive MOBO. Will i expect i lot more performance or something?

also it is possible to use the NZXT Guardian 921 RB case?

I really like the design of the case. however, will it fit?

Also. The reason i wanted the 144hz was because i was told. 60hz monitors will only display 60 FPS max due to their refresh time. Which means even if my GPU will run at 150FPS, it's useless, because of the refresh time of my monitor.

With cases like the Guardain you trade airflow for fancy lighting. I'm personally not a fan of it, but if you want to use that case it's fine. The Asrock Extreme 4 is a good board for the price.

PC picks told me something of a incompatiblity with the 921 Guardian. Something like " MSI Z87-G43 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard has an onboard USB 3.0 header, but the NZXT Guardian 921 RB ATX Mid Tower Case does not have front panel USB 3.0 ports."

What does that mean???? Also, will i expect a bottleneck or something on the MOBO if i use MSI Z87-G43 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard instead of a extreme 4. As you can see mate, i'm trying to lower the budget as much as possible without losing significant performance.

Also, that's kinda why i went with the 840 series instead of the 840 pro :/

That's not going to affect it. It means that it would be preferred if the case has a USB 3.0 header so you can use the corresponding motherboard port, but if you don't, it's not something to worry about.

No, you wont see a bottleneck because of the motherboard, its just not going to overclock as well as the AsRock would. That "incompatibility" doesnt matter, its just saying that the motherboard has a USB 3.0 header than you will not be using, which isnt a real issue.

I think your SSD choice is a decent choice, but if you can spring $20 more for the OCZ Vertex 450 you will get a LOT more performance out of it.

Ok thank you. Good to know it won't effect it.

Also that question regarding the extreme 4 vs MSI Z87-G43 ATX LGA1150 mother board. What exactly am i losing by choosing to go with the cheaper option?

Please keep in mind that there's a 20$ combo discount as well. Which means the extreme 4 will be 70$ more expensive.

Do you guys still think it'll be worth it even with a 70$ price difference between the two MOBO? I'll try some OC, but definitely just within standards, nothing record breaking.

Also regarding the SSD. Should pick a vertex 4 series, or a vector series.

Probably nothing. Both will overclock about the same.

I have a Vertex 4 and it's a great drive. Haven't had a single issue with it. The Vector is significantly faster but you can't go wrong either way.
