Not in a way of categorised tiers but you do have compatibility advisory from pcpartpicker. For the former, just looking around for reviews and personal opinions then expanding on that with your own judgement.

Firstly, with any build, base it on the cpu you want then search reasonable best motherboards for that platform.

You can also ask someone to suggest a build, or whatever else you have inmind. If just after an upgraded part don't forget to list all pc specs including psu make model and age.
