Any word on Assassin's Creed 2 for the PC?

I first played Assassin's Creed (the first one) on the PS3 first, then decided to get a copy for my PC (the PS3 was a friend's). A few days afterwards, I found out Ubisoft never bothered to optimize the game for the PC, and I did see what they were talking about, with the game running on what should be a decent quad-core GTX 260 system.

The point is, now that AC2 is out, and again for the PC, would it be worth the buy from a performance standpoint? Anyone playing the game on their PC now care to share?

generally, if i game hasnt been optimised for pc, and doesnt benefit from mouse and keyboard controll ill get the console version.

i always prefer to get a PC version of a game, but gta iv, AC2, and batman AA i own on the console. if the only benefit to the pc version is minor graphical improvements then id rather get it on the console. i have a proper controller, friends lists/achievements and dont have to install, but most importantly i can trade it in when im done.
