Question Any X570 i Aorus Pro Wifi owners?

I have the above motherboard which has two M.2 ports, (i use the one at the back of the motherboard.) Has anyone used the front one that is under the chipset fan? Ive always been reluctant to use it as I imagine it could potentially create a lot of heat in that area, just asking if any other owners have used it and what their experience has been? Thanks

One of my colleagues owns the board mentioned in the thread title. From what I've seen across threads, YT video's and a build by a friend, the M.2 slot facing towards the open end of the case shouldn't run hot as long as you have airflow around it. It's only when you look at passively cooled builds where the drive under the first M.2 slot will thermal throttle. Speaking of which, what sort of a drive are you looking to drop onto the first slot?

Yes, Ive seen similar videos. I just thought it was a shame not to use it, I have other SSD's (mainly for games,) and was thinking about getting a 1 TB M.2 pcie 4 to slot in there.

My Intel 660p is in the front slot, under the chipset fan. I haven't had any issues. The heatsink is for M.2 and the chipset.
