sorry if this is wrong place in forum for this but i just registered

basically my specs are:

intel dual core processor 2.0 Ghz
intel q33 chipset
4gb of entry level standard business sort of pc ram
240w psu but im getting 450w

http://www.google.co.uk/products/catalog?hl=en&q=dc5800&um=1&ie=UTF-8&cid=2777453781368152200&ei=-ITiSZ-vCuTPjAfRp4jUDQ&sa=X&oi=product_catalog_result&resnum=1&ct=result#ps-tech-specs

its basically that but with a dual 2 ghz processor instead.

look, i know this pc is the complete opposite of gaming pcs but i want to know if i could play a few games like L4D and others around that type of spec level slightly(SLIGHTLY) higher maybe.

i only want to spend around £150 ($220) MAXIMUM on upgrades excluding the psu also i have a few days left before i get my psu so if any1 has any ideas, i mean im pretty open i could prolly get a 1600W monster in there if i sacked off the case.

anyway, your advice will be appriciated, thanks :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

yah my pc sux, its a business pc, but its either upgrade now, or buy gaming pc at end of summer...

I didn't see any dedicated graphics listed in the specs of your PC. Games like unfortunately require that: http://www.left4dead411.com/left-4-dead-system-requirements.

But, I also see that this PC has a lot of upgrade options, with at least one slot for PCI Express x1 and x16 cards. Here are lists of what might fit on NewEgg:

PCI Express x1: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=2010380048%201069620108&name=PCI%20Express%20x1
PCI Express x16: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=2010380048%201069609641&name=PCI%20Express%20x16

Hope this helps!

Yes it has PCI-e slots but look at the case, its a slimline computer which means only one thing lol "Low Profile" video cards which are really bad for gaming. Unless that is of course you get the Sparkle 9800GT lol.

For starters, the 2600xt is anything but 'great', especially for $170. MAYBE for $70, but at the $70 price point, there are better cards.

Lowest you want to get is 9600GT/4670. I personally think that the 8800/9800GT would give you a good card for ~$100. The 4380 is also compelling at that price.
