I need a free software to update outdated drivers for me. One of my friend suggest EDITED out by Saga Lout - to me, I am not sure whether it's reliable, because it's now just beta 3.1. Anybody has experience in it, please advise. Thank you in advance. :)

Thank you for your suggestions, but it's really annoying (step by step) to update them manually. I think no software vendor will include virus, so it's safe to download them through their official sites or trust-able download sites.

My question is: Did ????????? do the job? Is it possible to install a wrong driver for me?

Not only possible but highly likely with other worse consequences thrown in. The safest place for driver downloads is the developer of the equipment concerned.

Go into Control Panel>System>Hardware>Device Manager, find the relevant device -which may have a yellow mark beside it, then right click that and go to Properties.

Click the Details tab, then scroll to Hardware IDs and note down the four characters after VEN for Vendor and the four which follow DEV for Device. Go to http://www.pcidatabase.com and input those details in the relevant boxes and you will see the list of all the right manufacturer's products but sadly, they aren't in order. Use Internet Explorers Edit menu then Find to type in the DEVice ID and the search will find the correct entry. Follow the link to the site for the correct driver and download it. With luck it will be an executable (.exe) file you just click and go buyt it maybe a .zip file which needs extracting.

You also need to use your anti-malware scanners to remove any traces of Iobit.

I doubt anyone has written a utility that does it better than the traditional method I described. The reason is they all want you to go to the dodgy sites they recommend - my way (THE way) takes you to the safest place where the right driver can be found.

I'm going to edit out that link from your original post - it's been three too long already.

Wrong! Many software contain malware and leave back doors on your computer. Listen to Alex! He is telling the truth.
