So, I was looking through the bios on my Gigabyte X670E Aorus Master (Bios: 24c) and there are these audio options for the integrated audio controller:

Configuration options:
[HDA(3SDI) + PDM(2CH)]
[HDA (1SDI)+ PDM(6CH)]
[HDA(1SDI) + SW0(1MDATA) + PDM(2CH)]
[SW0(4MDATA) +PDM(6CH)]
[SW0(4MDATA) + SW1(1MDATA) + PDM(2CH)]

Google seems to be clueless, although I'd assume:
HDA = High Definition Audio
PDM = Pulse Density Modulation?
And 2CH and 6CH, I assume, are 2 & 6 channel.

But does anyone know what these other ones are:
1SDI & 3SDI?
SW0 and SW1?
1MDATA and 4MDATA?

The bios manual is of course pretty useless, and Google only shows a few search results that link to other bios manuals!

What is the make and model of your motherboard? Please include it as a follow-up or as part of your thread's body, as opposed to including it in your sig space as sig space specs can and will change over time, rendering this thread and it's suggestions moot to the end user in the same boat as you're in now.

BIOS version for your motherboard?

I didn't bother being that specific because these values aren't specific to my motherboard (Gigabyte X670E Aorus Master Bios: 24c), because various other boards have these audio options too, at the very least the they're on a lot of ASUS 600 series boards as well.

But yea, I should probably update my sig as well..
