Anykey press to boot

My HP laptop which is run by windows 8, waits for me to press any key in the keyboard, while booting windows and again i have to press enter key one more time to give my password.

This only happened after I reset the machine to its factory settings.

Any guidance appreciated.Thanks in advance.

go into the bios via hammering the "del" key not literally and then look at the settings in there must be an option that requires password to log in option or something. it might be the F2key
