The main annoyance is actually having to wait for the Non Reference to come out, I understand it maybe an issue trying to get the card to actually cool to decent temps... but still it's been about 2 weeks now since the 290x and I've been saving $700 for the longest time waiting for a new 290x only to find out that even Reference 290x's are always out of stock.

Edit: Not sure if this is due to the limited amount of reference cards being released, but if this is how the Non-Reference release is... so annoying.
I don't want to have to wait a couple of days before I order, due to low stock!! >;[

Edit # 2: Does anyone know when the Non Reference cards are due? :/

Solution
I will wait until all the cards are on the table... ITS NOT A PUN! Looking forward to see the gtx 780ti if it really is faster than titan and over 20% faster than a 780 is now for 700 dollars I wouldn't mind, a good futur proof card. but again I'll wait for all the cards to be reviewd first. Then make my choice

reference 290x's are running at 95 degrees Celsius.
I don't see this card its teù^s getting fixed anytime soon. Only solution for this card to overclock it is to put a waterblock on it. Waterblocks are made for it already so people can use the reference cards and watercool them already that's why they are out of stock everywhere probably.

It needs to be done faster or AMD needs to release a 2nd Revision'd 290x.
Those temperatures are just too high even if amd claims it stays stable at 95..

I don't even feel like gaming till I get my 290x
