I've fabricated a custom GPU support using AISI 304/316 stainless parts purchased from my workplace. We also sell black EPDM rubber washers, and I opted to use those on each end of the thread-adjustable GPU support.
One end is going to be touching the plastic shroud of the GPU itself, somewhat near the fans, so it shouldn't get too hot. I'm just worried that if it does get hot, there could be issues. EPDM is supposed to not degrade until 130-150c and my RTX 4070 never manages to break 67c core temp, so by all rights it should be fine.
I am curious if anyone else has experience with EPDM rubber in PCs and how that turned out.
