Anyone had a house reposessed early?

I've not been playing any games lately, but have been careful to log into
DAoC every two or three weeks to fill up my rent box. I logged in today,
and my house was gone, even though it should have had a week or two left.

Anyone else see anything like this happen? Any success getting the house
back?

I havnt had this problem personally, but my friend has. Usually keeps his rent
up-to-date, but all of a sudden its gone. GONE!! 40pp house down the drain.
There wasnt even a pop-up box or anything. I guess people are saying it was a
known bug on the VN boards. However, he has an appeal in, been waiting quite a
while to get the appeal responded to by a CSR. I highly doubt Mythic will do
anything about it tho, knowing Mythic and how stupid they can be.

Sorry to hear this happened to you, it might be worth TRYING to appeal it
anyways.

Actually, Mythic has always announced that they will investigate
problems like this. If can be shown that your house was repossessed in
error, I'm sure they'll correct it.

Of course, if someone has bought your lot in the meantime I might get a
little more complicated 🙁

Well like i said before in a previous post, my friend has this problem. A CSR
contacted him and told him that the pop-up message about paying rent is a
courtesy and they are not REQUIRED to warn him about paying his rent. There
goes 40p.

I had this same exact thing happen this past week. My villa, along with all
of the trophies that I have collected, house tools / merchants....GONE! I
sent in an appeal and was told that the lockbox was empty and that the house
was reposessed for lack of funds. I know that this is incorrect, as I have
houses on 2 different accounts, and ALWAYS pay the rent at the same time,
and make sure that it is paid up for a month. The other house still had a
week to go when the villa fell. The CSR escalated my appeal, and I was told
the same thing by the next CSR. The really screwed up part is that when the
villa fell, and I sent the appeal, I waited 34 hours of game time for a
response, and since the lot kept getting cheaper and cheaper, I had to buy
it back to keep the spot. I didn't actually buy the lot back until after
they told me that there was no way of getting the house back. They told me
that my vault items were available in that merchant area in the housing
zone, but once I bought the lot back and ran to the merchants, the vault
items were gone because I now owned a "new" lot. Artifacts, armor, weapons,
scrolls....all gone 🙁

My only recourse is to send an email to dispute@darkageofcamelot.com.

It might be to late in this case, but as a general rule you should
always take a screenshot when you pay your rent. Make sure that all
relevant info is visible (/clock).

That's true, you should check yourself. However, it would have been nice
if they sent out an e-mail to the registered address of the account a
week before repossession 🙁

They can restore all that stuff. Same thing happened to me back a couple of
months after housing came out. If you haven't tried it yet, buy new vaults
and merchant and the stuff may already be there. It was for my consign
merchant. My vault stuff had to be restored by a CSR as I bought a
different lot and used a different char to purchase everything.

How does this work if I have 3 vaults worth of items, but can only afford to
buy a cottage at this time (with 1 vault)?

That I dont know. I had a house and when I lost it, rebought another house,
so had same number of vaults. CSR's had to replace my vault stuff for me
though, it didn't reappear like the stuff on my consignment merchant. They
got the stuff to show up on the vault guys in market and I just took 3 or 4
characters there and filled up their packs and took back to vault. Probably
spent an hour with a head CSR getting it straight.
