The XMP profile option on my asus z270-a motherboard doesnt appear to do anything. I have tried just using the EZ XMP switch on the board, just using the XMP profile in the BIOS and both together, but neither will actually boost the memory speeds.
Both the post boot screen and cpu-z (https://i.redd.it/b6o5pw2jw3ey.png) show the RAM running at default speeds/timings. The CPU will respond to any speed changes i make, but why not the memory?
The memory voltage always shows its running around 1.2v in the BIOS even when manually set to 1.35v too
