Whatever it was, it is trash now.

looks like a ribbon connector that would have gone to a display of some kind. maybe a gameboy / psp, or some handheld multimeter?

it was a calculator. google search the SR21 numbers and you get this:

clearly the SR numbers are the key, the relevant info, since there's a few of them and one is clearly marked / highlighted.
