Tonight I mistakenly ordered a wrong model of memory from Newegg, and didn't realize my mistake until about two hours later. Needless to say, I scrambled to cancel the order, but somehow it had already shipped. So I contacted customer service to see what I should do, and the rep instructed me to refuse the package, and once the package was returned to Newegg I would receive a refund.
Now call me cynical, but I have a lot of experience with customer service (on other sites) giving out incomplete or incorrect information, so I just wanted to post something here and see if refusing the package is the correct course of action. Also, will I be charged for the shipping, even if the shipping for the item was "free"? Anybody have experience with Newegg returns, who can fill me in?
Thanks.
