anyone have there rad outside the case ?

im getting a lot of heat in my case since i crossfired my r9 280x so ive ordered some better case fans sp120 x2 quiet edition and i am replacing my antec h20 650 with a kraken x61 .i am considering not having the x61 rad in the case as a push or pull set up will either use hot air in the case or put hot air in there so was wondering if anyone has the rad for the aio cpu cooler outside the case? was thinking i could run cpu block thru expansion bay grills prior to mounting it and maybe get a fan power lead extension if required and that way the x61 rad is outside
