Anyone know what I'm missing here? HELP ME IF YOU CAN!!

Okay to make quick, I'll ask this, Why isn't my graphics card ,(Sapphire Radeon R7 240 1 GB) working with my desktop!? Desktop is a (Compaq Presario CQ5500F)... Things to know beforehand: I replaced the CPU with an (AMD Phenom X4 9750) and the PSU with an 800W PSU. I'll be MORE THAN WILLING to provide more information if what I shared is insufficient to your understanding on why this graphics card isn't working. I mean it fits in its slot and the little fan even spins... I'm really frustrated and just want to game it.

I'm not 100% sure but I think it might be somthing to do with the motherboard chipset

Is this your motherboard?

Did you update the BIOS for your motherboard?
Have you tried disable the on board graphic card in the BIOS?

Have you seated it right? connected the PCI-E connectors correctly or even installed the drivers?

Thanks for replying, Yes that is the motherboard... As for disabling the on board graphics card, I did that in SAFE MODE already and it didn't work. Haven't tried updating the BIOS though, not sure how to perform that.

What about the chipset? The graphics card fits and everything.

I've seated it right. what do you mean PCI-E connectors? Yes I installed the driver disk it came with.

I can't give you the instructions as I don't have time to do it but you would need to download the latest BIOS driver for your motherboard and install that. Unfortunately it does not seem like HP is supporting BIOS updates as I can't find any drivers for your motherboard at their webiste. You may be able to use the BIOS provided on ASUS website but I'm not sure about that. You may want to contat HP support.
