Not sure why 56 is listed already, shouldn't actually be any out there. My impression was those came out on the 28th.

Usually when I use nowinstock Newegg would update too slowly and be out of stock by the time I was notified, but Amazon seems to work quite well.

Neat to see the Quadro P4000 on there. I might pick one of those up a few years from now just to have one. Why Nvidia doesn't make a consumer version of that I have no idea, but I would totally get one if they did.

GTX1080 certainly runs cooler, but there is something to be said for having the latest AMD graphics card, usually a few titles where it will beat out Nvidia.

Depending on how jacked up the prices get from mining, the 1080Ti might be the better choice.

i thought gpu makersd stock the new gpu's so they have many avaible for purchase the day it launches? i mean i know gpu miners buy them up but thought theyd atleast last longer then a couple minutes when they came out at 9am

Not really, each re-seller is going to get a fixed amount. Even without mining there can be shortages. When the GTX 1080 came out there was a shortage of GDDR5X which kept stocks low.

Other times there have been yield issues on the GPUs themselves. I think the Fury cards had issues due to the very large dies and scarcity of 1st gen HBM.

And keep in mind the people that buy these things are just like you, and there are literally dozens of us.
