I really really REALLY want to get this psu but i cant find anywhere that sells it......help anyone?http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817163018

I highly recommend against that PSU. As cool as it looks, it will likely die, and may take down other parts with it. You will get a similar lighting effect from a couple of $5 LEDs. When it comes to PSU's, stick to Corsair, Antec, Seasonic, and XFX. They may not look as cool, but believe me, good clean power is worth way more than any visual aspect of a PSU.

I'm agreeing with the above posts, the PSU there is actually an older design (why it's discontinued) and a poor design at that. It is the equivalent of most current PSU's that are rated at 300W (if it can even produce that) - look to quality first, then looks, there are some quality PSU's out there with bling, you just gotta look for them and research a bit - this link may help for that - http://www.realhardtechx.com/index_archivos/Page541.htm

How does that look cool? The first picture looks like it was taken while the power supply was literally bursting into flame, and I see other problems with it:
1. Those "cooling fans" look like the blades are completely parallel to the surfaces they're mounted on, so they'd provide nearly zero airflow (unless they've got transparent slanted blades hiding behind the white swirls)
2. 20-pin main power connector instead of 24-pin (details say 20+4 pin, but pictures don't confirm that), and no PCI-express power connectors.
3. 24 amps on the +12V rail is 288W, slightly less than half the unit's rated power - modern computers draw almost all their power from the +12V rail.
4. No PFC

Ok ok ok all, I already KNOW that its a horrid idea for ANY pc to be useing but i want one still...........any ideas where to get one? I mean it looks sooo awsome! and my hp will look sick with this thing powering it!

nice recomendation but the problem is mainly that i want a just a baseline psu for my hp as my primary already has a nice psu and i just want one that is baseline funtional and has some entertainment value built in.
