Hi people, i am playing skyrim with my Lenovo ideapad s400, the laptop has both intel HD 4000 & AMD Radeon HD 7450 M. My problem is although i set skyrim high performance in Catalyst Control Center the game recognizes only Intel HD 4000. Also when i right clicked on the tray icon of the CCC the opened list has only Intel HD 4000.

I wonder that if whole these things are the normals of the switchable cards? Or i have a hardware or driver problem?

Anyone can see the AMD card on skyrim's graphic cards selection section in a laptop with switchable cards??

Your help will be very appreciated because this problem is very disturbing and i almost decided to sell my 3 months old laptop just because of this problem...

I would try completely uninstalling all Catalyst Drivers and then go to AMD.com and go to the driver tab - plug in all your stuff - download - install...etc. And then see if it works.

Also don't mess with any settings in Catalyst like setting Skyrim to high performance (whatever that is)

Just open Skyrim after you reinstall the drivers and make sure the video graphics device is set to your dedicated gpu.

I also had a Lenovo laptop with switchable graphics. All I had to do what right-click the game on the desktop and select Run with Graphics Processor > Select your Video card. Hope this helps. But yeah don't use Catalyst Drivers get them from AMD.
