has anyone successfully put a heatsink/fan on the back of their card? was putting something electrically conducive on the contacts behind the chip a problem? did you use grease?

y would u want 2 put a HSF on the back of the card? the most you want is probably a fan over the back of the core and fan over the ramsinks.

I did that on my wildly o/ced vanta PCI. I put on a pentium hs using blue tack. It wasnt really good but it was enough to cool it sufficiently to run it stable at 160/190 (stock 100/125).

BTW, about a week after i did this i burnt up my vanta... oops :)

My sig's faster than yours, and it overclocks better too....

My card (ChainTech GF4Ti4200 128MB) comes with heatsinks on the back as well as front of memory. It is possible to have this.

Putting a HSF on the back behind the GPU seems to me like something that'd be pointless.
