I'm looking to replace both an aging HP 3si and 4si and wondered if
anyone has made a similar upgrade lately. I'm looking for suggestions
on what you went with, satisfaction, etc. Thanks.

I went from an HP4M to an HP 4000 about 4 years ago and love it. It's fast,
swallows a whole ream at a time, long toner life and have had zero problems
with it. Don't know what the equivalent model is these days.

FYI: there are people that claim that The 4si, and even the 3si can be
made good-as-new by replacing a few easily available parts. See

http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/

I believe the 3si doesn't have low power idle, so it may be time to
retire it for the electric bill. . It may be workwhile keeping as a
backup.

The 4050 and 5Si printers I've known have been workhorses.

Don't blame me. I voted for Gore.
