It is my thought that PC Adventure Game collecting is at it's peak, really,
anyone wanting to start /establish a beautiful collection of Adventure
Games....NOW is the time!

Sorry, but aside of local flea markets & a few internet specialists, EBay is
the BMOC!...and no, I am not affiliated/stock owner with them (other then a
member).

The old "Buy low, sell high" could not be at a better time!

I couldn't care less about my collection, it will be years before I even
consider selling it, let alone any one of my collection....

Of course there will always be "extreme collectables" going at top dollar,
but the core of basic adventure games are going for a song & dance right
now!

Comments please!

What does BMOC mean? I haven't looked at games in Ebay for a long time so I
have no idea the price of adventure games.

For the sellers, I guess its buy high and sell low.

I guess it depends on the game. Some adventure games still sell fairly well
but I am out of touch as to which games they are. I have some to sell
probably locally (I'm in Toronto, Canada)that I have been going to sell for
the last year, but they not older classic type games like Gabriel knight
series or anything, so I wouldn't get any high prices for them and don't
expect to.

Not sure what kind of comments you're looking for. I've been tracking
a decent amount of games on there. I'm not sure I'd say it's a great
time for "buy low, sell high." Unless of course "buy low" means at a
garage sale. Or unless you mean selling later? I guess I'm confused
what you're even saying. I personally would not be too concerned
about selling high if it meant waiting and doing it later down the
road

If someone just wants to collect, there's a fair amount of stuff
selling on there for bargain bin prices or even not at all, meaning
one can get things sometimes for a buck. The collections seem to do
well, even when the individual games can be had for much cheaper. I
don't really get that. I just sold my LSL Ultimate Pleasure Pack for
$160 (not on eBay), which seems a bit silly when you can get them
separately for a whole lot cheaper. But, hey, it's money in my
pocket. The Sierra "Collector's Series" do well (except Police Quest
not as good).

Seems like a good deal is getting those collections when they come
out, preferably with a rebate, and then later they seem to become
valuable. I've picked up several collections that have become worth
something later. (Except one of them I won't ever sell.)

I've actually been tracking RPG's more than Adventures, but from what
I've seen, there are a fair amount of old ones out there selling
pretty cheap right now, if someone just wanted to collect them. I
have no desire to collect. I had a bunch of old games that I got rid
of before I got the idea to collect them, and I don't feel like
starting over. So I just sell them when I'm done.
