Anyone tried any goofy skylake ocs?

Like 1 multi 4000 blck? What is the possible range? Some of the older Intel CPUs could stand high FSB ocs with lower multi and stay cooler. Havnt jumped on skylake yet was jsut wondering how tweakable it is

Sometimes the very high multipliers aren't very stable, so it ends up being easier to overclock using a 125MHz BLCK - but it only comes into play with very high OC's (and usually multipliers well above 45X). There are also settings on some boards that raise and lower PLL voltage to make the higher multipliers more stable - so yes, some boards are very tweak-able.

I mean will it boot at a Bclk oc 200/400/800? How high will it go?

I don't know, but what would be the point of that? Raising the BCLK won't make it faster, since everything can be clocked independent of the BLCK setting.

Some of the old CPUs could get 300-400 more mhz out of them going real high FSB small multi didint know if skylake might play the same way. Havnt seen anyone try, thought id ask

It does come in handy sometimes, but usually 125MHz is enough. I've never heard of anyone using higher than 166 to stabilize an OC.
