Anyone tried converting sound meter on Coolermaster Cavalier

I've had the Coolermaster Cavalier case (with the sound pressure meter) for some time now, and have come to the concolusion that the sound pressure meter is just plain stupid. Not only is it completely useless, it totally degrades the source output. However, I like the way it looks!

Has anyone tried to convert the meter to something else - i.e. take it out and install a wattage meter or temperature guage? I'd thinking about doing this, but am admittedly a bit scared.

I have the same case as well as the musketeer one with the dials. I cant get them both to work. Its either one or the other. Anyone got both working?
