It just occurred to me that the old black woman who kept insisting her
husband wasn't dead hasn't been seen since the 3rd or 4th episode. Did
they just decide to drop her bit of the plot? Maybe the actress died or
something?

I don't watch it. Therefore I assume no-one watches it. Or was it the
other way around???

I just assumed she was a plot device to develop Jack, not a "real"
character in her own right.

She seemed like a real character with her own little plot hook (my husband
isn't dead). I guess maybe she left for the other series Optician
mentioned.

Oh well, it just seemed weird. When they were standing around Boone's
grave it would have been a good place for her to be spiritual, etc.

My mom watches the show, and so I've caught snippets here and there in
passing, and I gotta say, it's false advertising. Not once have I seen
Lost show up in that show! How can they call it Lost without Lost?
