Has anyone a HITACHI CM715 monitor and having any problem with the picture quality? Or seeing magnetic curves on the screen?

I have a 19 inc Hitachi CM715, and I'm dealing a problem with it. Since I bought it, the picture on the sides (from top to bottom) was not as sharp and clear as on the center. I returned it back to the service, they tried to fix it with no luck, and they gave me another one, refurbished. The second monitor, had strong magnetic curves, from one corner to onother, beginning from the low-res boot-up screen up to 1280*1024. The service apologised for that, and gave me another refurbished monitor. This time, the effect appears only to high resolution, from 1024*768 and up.

I have even moved the whole system to another room, to avoid any magnetic interferences, but I got the same screen!
So the monitor has the problem, but all the 3 ones?

It's not my display card, I checked it with another monitor. Even with its controls, I couldn't eliminate the curves. The magnetic curves are best viewable with pale blue, brown or vivid colors like lime green.

IF SOMEBODY HAS A SIMMILAR PROBLEM WITH THIS, PLEASE REPLY.

I have a Hitachi 715et monitor and I believe the problem you are reffering to is a moiré effect. Use the moire control to rise it to ca 83 (one of the two, I believe the one to the left). The lines should dissappear after this. The remarkable with the 715et´s moire control is that the picture don´t get blurred, at any setting!!! It just removes the moiré. This I haven´t seen on any other monitor, wich is just so cool.

The second thing you can do is check if you have installed the monitors color scheme (a disk should lie on top of the monitor in the box) othervise download it att hitachis homesite. The third thing to do is to check the refresrate of the monitor. This option is more or less locked until windows get told that it is indeed a Hitachi 715et monitor attached to your computer and not a standard plug and play monitor. The fourth thing is check your Graphics card. Attach another monitor to your computer and see if similar problems occur.
