NF7-S and 2600+ mobile barton. In bios i no longer have system default setting under CPU operating speed, just user defined.I pushed it too far,(needed a little more vcore)and it wouldn't post.Couldn't reset cmos because of this.Had to reinstall 1700+ to reset bios.Just wondering if you guys have this problem.

couldn't you just remove the mobo battery to reset the CMOS?

No,tried that but this cpu doesn't seem to have a default speed in the bios, only user defined. When i first installed it,it posted as 600mhz,i went to 200x13 posted fine.I later tried 200x14,but my board only allows 1.85V it wouldn't post with that, but i could unplug the power and get back into bios.Tried 215x12.5 thats when nothing would work except reinstalling the 1700+.

well, there is a way you can mod your chip or cpu socket so that the board thinks its a 200FSB chip...here is a link to a thread about it. I did it with mine, and it automatically boots up at 200FSB, not 133FSB. It was really easy, just use 2 short parts of a wire to connect 2 socket holes. I dont know if this will help you with your problem, but i guess it couldnt hurt.
