During the weeknights after 8PM my ping goes from a consistent 75ms to 180ms until around 11:30pm. Is there anything I can do to decrease my ping during these peak traffic times? I'm sure there isn't anything because it isn't on my end, just wanted to see what you guys think. For some reason my ping is unaffected on Saturday nights, maybe because everyone is out doing stuff.

Solution
Test on a wired connection to verify that it is not interference from neighbors using their wifi.

If it still does it on wired then pretty much your only option is to get a different ISP. It means the ISP has oversold their network to too many customers and did not themselves buy enough bandwidth or resources. This is not a common problem anymore but if you live in areas with little competition some ISP still provide poor service for a lot of money.
